Adding a Printer

printer1.pngHow do I add a printer?

Well there are a few ways. If this is a network printer then you should see if it's listed in iPrint (the Hospital's web based printing automation solution) . On the Campus Page (this site) click on "Staff Resources" this will bring up a list of links to Hospital Resources, choose the iPrint link. If it's not listed, call the HelpDesk (x5993) to open a ticket with the make and model to get it added (this is only for networkable printers).

If this is a local (non networked, non shareable) printer it should have been added when it was installed, if not then you should call the Hospital HelpDesk (x5993).

New Security Measures for Off Campus Access to Webmail and VPN
For those unfamiliar with Duo Two Factor Authentication. As part of NewYork-Presbyterian’s ongoing efforts to maintain secure information systems and protect them from cybercrime, we have added an important, remote-access security feature referred to as Duo Two-Factor Authentication. This is an extra layer of security designed to prevent others from accessing or using your account, even if they know your password. It relies on a smartphone or other device to quickly and easily verify your identity when logging in from off-campus computers.
