My Machine says "No Signal"
Written by Peter J Cox

My Machine/Computer says "No Signal" on the screen. Does this mean the network is down?

reminder-sign.jpgNO. "No Signal" on the screen means that the screen is not getting any signal from the terminal. This could mean that the cable has been disconnected or the PC/terminal is damaged but USUALLY (99 out of 100 times) it just means that the PC/terminal is OFF. Power the PC/terminal on and the "No Signal" message will go away, please note that the PC/terminal is NOT the screen.  It's the little box that either says WYSE or HP on it or where you put the CD/DVDs (for carts/caddies it's usually in the drawer, underneath the counter or behind the screen). no-signal-monitor.png
